Recognizing Abundance

There is one life, one infinite, always creating, ever expanding All. I am one with this All, indivisible from it. And I know that this One appears as an infinite number of beings, all powered by the same source. I know that simply by looking around at this world, I am filled with a realization of abundance-abundance of beauty, of order, of life. I go to a beach and see an abundance of sand, of water, of sunlight. I go to a national forest and see and abundance of beauty, of order, of life. In my office I see an abundance of projects, and infinite variety of choices and possibilities awaiting me each day. In fact, everywhere I look I see abundance, and only abundance. There is no place that I can look at where abundance is not the order of the day. I know that this recognition of abundance is spreading infinitely and continuously to every person on this planet. I give thanks for this truth and so I release this word now, and let it be so, and so it is, amen.

To see all as One

The test ...

The test is being indifferent to pain and pleasure, and perceiving them as being the same (sama-duhkha-sukha). We are, all of us, positioned on some point of the curve, the peak or the trough, that depicts movement from pleasure to pain and vice-versa.

He unto whom - self-centred - grief and joy
Sound as one word;
- Ibid.XIV.24

The test is seeing a clod of dirt, a rock (literally iron), or a piece of gold as being the same - having the same value. They are all the One.

to whose deep-seeing eyes
The clod, the marble, and the gold are one;
- Ibid.XIV.24

The test is perceiving those who are loved and that which is agreeable (priya) with the same evenness as those who are not loved and that which is disagreeable (apriya).

The test is reacting to both praise (samstati) and blame (ninda) with the same steadfast impartial dispassion (XIV.24). Everyone you know, every being is subject to their gunas - including all who dwell in the now invisible worlds, spirit guides and extraterrestrials, evolved or otherwise.

Whose equal heart holds the same gentleness
For lovely and unlovely things, firm-set,
Well-pleased in praise and dispraise;
- Ibid.XIV.24

Impartial to all ...

When I had little knowledge, I had become blind by pride like an elephant (during rut). Then my mind was proud , thinking that I am an omniscient. As and when I realized bit by bit in the association of wise men, my pride waned like a fever, as I came to know that I was a fool, actually.
